C. R. Simha, born Channapatna Ramaswami Simha on 16 June 1942 in Channapatna, Karnataka, was an Indian actor, director, dramatist, and playwright best known for his work in Kannada cinema and theatre.
He died on 28 February 2014 in Bangalore, Karnataka, at the age of 72.
He began acting in plays at the age of 12 and later became closely associated with theatre in Bangalore. He was a member of Bangalore Little Theatre from its inception in 1960 and later co-founded the theatre group Nataranga in 1972. His stage work made him an important figure in Kannada and English theatre, and he was known for both acting and directing in live performance.
