Namita Thapar (born 21 March 1977 in Pune, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian entrepreneur, business executive, angel investor, and prominent judge on the business reality show Shark Tank India.
She is the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, which was established by her father Satish Mehta in 1981.
She belongs to a Gujarati family and was born in Pune. She is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Prior to joining Emcure, she worked for six years in the United States in various finance and marketing roles at Guidant Corporation (now part of Abbott's Stent business). She joined Emcure Pharmaceuticals in 2007 as CFO and subsequently expanded her responsibilities to include Emcure's India Business.
As Executive Director, she manages multifunctional portfolios including finance, domestic marketing, and HR, overseeing pan-India operations of over 3,000 medical representatives contributing to over Rs 1,000 crores in sales. She is currently in charge of accelerating the company's expansion into India and other foreign markets.
She has been working with her father's company for 19 years, and in 2024 she stepped into a founder's role by launching her own supplement brand called Arth. She is passionate about improving women's health in India and promoting youth entrepreneurship.
She has been a prominent investor in Shark Tank India, investing in over 100 companies. She is also the founder of Thapar Entrepreneur Academy and founded Incredible Ventures Ltd, an education company that teaches entrepreneurship to 11–18 year olds in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. She is passionate about youth entrepreneurship.
She has received various prestigious corporate awards including The Economic Times' "40 under Forty" award, Barclays Hurun Next Gen Leader recognition, Economic Times 2017 Women Ahead List, and the World Women Leadership Congress Super Achiever award. She has been featured in Business Today's Most Powerful Women in Business List and is a repeat winner of BT's Most Powerful Women in Business award.
