Thomson Andrews

Thomson Andrews, born on September 25, 1987, in Mumbai, India, is a versatile Indian contemporary R&B, pop, funk, and soul singer-songwriter, performer, recording artist, actor, and television host.

He began his professional career in music in 2010, collaborating with Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman and has since established himself as a notable figure in the Indian music industry. He has lent his voice to numerous Bollywood and South Indian film soundtracks and participated in popular music projects such as Coke Studio India and MTV Unplugged India, sharing the stage with eminent composers and singers like Amit Trivedi, Pritam, Neha Kakkar, and Arijit Singh.

Thomson Andrews hails from a liberal South Indian family with his father from Kerala and mother from Chennai. His engagement with music began young through school competitions and his church choir, influenced by his family's gospel roots.

He gained early recognition by winning a gospel talent show at seventeen. Thomson initially pursued a corporate career while studying science but shifted focus to music, teaching Western music and performing concerts.

His vocal work features on several international and Bollywood projects, including contributing to the background score for the Oscar-nominated film 127 Hours and collaborating on the musical adaptation of Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding. 

Known for his dynamic stage presence and ability to sing in 12 languages, he has toured globally, performing at various events and collaborating with artists like Sunidhi Chauhan and Mohit Chauhan. He has released several singles such as "People Ain’t Things," "I Got Your Money," and "We’re No Strangers," enjoying airplay on Indian and international platforms.

In addition to music, he has hosted television shows, including a six-episode music travel reality series called Royal Stag Hungama Music Bus, which explored Indian culture through music and celebrity interactions.
