He had a sister named Monica Chowdhry, who has passed away. Aashish began modeling and appearing in TV commercials from a young age during his school years.
He is married to actress Samita Bangargi. The couple met while shooting for a Disney show on Doordarshan, developed a friendship that lasted seven years, and eventually married on January 27, 2006. They have three children: a son named Agastya and twin daughters named Salara and Sammah.
